Scott Anderson Hit-A-Thon

Coach Daniel and his East Knox Pirates team are honored to host this event. Special guest, ex- UT Football Player and Knox County Parks and Rec Recreation Manager, Troy Fleming will be on site to throw out the first Pitch.

Scott Anderson is a coach, a father, a husband, and an awesome community member.  Scott has coached at Gibbs and East Knox, and has devoted his time and guidance to children on or around the ball field for many years.  While coaching in Spring 2018, Scott became ill, and was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.  Scott is battling mightily.  He has undergone multiple surgeries and continual treatment.  Scott has been unable to return to work since his diagnosis.  We want to help him and his family.

March 30, we will be having a Hit-a-thon for the Anderson's.  All proceeds this day will benefit the Anderson's. Kids from ages 3 thru 14, and adults will be obtain pledges (based on the longest hit, or donation amount) to support the Anderson's.  They will get 10 pitches to hit.  There will be trophies to award the child in each age group recording the longest total distance.  These Trophies have been sponsored by Scott Anderson's employer, Henson & Associates Flooring Inc.  A minimum 2 pledges are required to compete for the trophy.

Parents, we will ask that you pay for pledges your child obtains the day of the event.

Please click on the "Swinging for Scott" pledge form below, and start getting pledges.  If you have any questions, please email Daniel at [email protected], or text to 865-898-5650.
